Designated as a national coordination point for the implementation of the European qualification framework, France compétences is an active partner of the Europass plateform set up by the European Commission in July 2020. Though, an automatic edition of the supplement to the Europass certificate is available on the RNCP website since several years, it is now possible to download it in French and English.
EUROPASS CERTIFICATE SUPPLEMENT AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH
France competences is an active partner of the Europass system, at the national level, particularly regarding to professional qualificaitons. Indeed, the data from the National Register of Professional Qualifications (RNCP) are available on the Europass platform, thus allowing users to have access to regularly updated information.
An automatic edition of the Europass certificate supplement is now accessible in English from any active file registered in the RNCP, thus further promoting the legibility and transparency of professional qualifications within the European area in favour of professional or study mobility.
The Europass certificate supplement is a European document which details the learning outcomes broken down into acquired skills. It indicates the targeted skills, the content of the learning program, the level of qualification, the type of accessible jobs, etc.
It should not be mixed up with the diploma supplement which is a nominative document and which only concerns higher education.
WHAT IS EUROPASS?
The Europass platform includes a range of tools and information for the learners, workers and job seekers in the European Union. It aims to help citizens present their skills and qualifications in a clear and logical manner, particularly to employers, and to promote geographic and professional mobility. One can create an online professional profile compiling training, professional experience and associated skills. Diplomas, certificates, letters of recommendation and official documents can be stored there.
